Don't worry, there won't be flannel, or rather, there won't be much flannel.

Give Me a List

My summer has begun and I want a list of good books to read. And a few trashy ones, too. If anyone has any suggestions, leave a comment or post on my facebook. I was in the library and just wandering around because I didn't know what to read and nor did I want to search until I found something that sounded good. Whenever I'm in a library I swear all the authors I've ever heard of fall out of my head and I'm staring at row after row of blank spines. I want a list, to narrow my search.

Even though this bag has a nice shoulder strap I find that I keep tucking it under my arm like a clutch. Still works nice!

Surprises Arise from the Trunk of a Car

I found this dress in the trunk of my car. I had forgotten about this box of stuff from my sister's bachelorette party, which was last summer...Apparently I don't use my trunk too often. Anyway, this dress was bought for the ugly bridesmaid dress bachelorette party, but I liked it. It's a little big, but I just loved the color. I washed it and immediately wore it.

Dress: from the trunk of my car

Shoes: Payless
Earrings: Grandma's

My mom just gave me these earrings a couple days ago and then I pulled this dress out of the trunk of my car. Seriously. No joke. And look how perfectly they go together.

The Green Lingers

The green seems to linger, huh? I like green though and it's spring so that means its the perfect time to wear green.

Me smelling the fresh air?

Dress: Gift from me mum
Cardigan: American Eagle
Tights: Target
Earrings: Vintage
Nails: Cement gray color. It's pretty sweet actually

Time seems to have stopped right now. I'm waiting to take my last exam and I'm tired of staring at the material to study any more even though this is going to be my hardest exam. A couple more hours and then freedom is what I keep telling myself.

But then what am I going to do with my time? Hmmm...the possibilities.

The Doctor's House

I love old houses. Whenever I get to see one I'm always sad that minimalism was ever thought of. This house was the Doctor's house when Pinecrest was a TB hospital.

Pretty staircase. The steps still needed to be sanded down. And they kept or replaced the hardwood floors, throughout the entire house.

This one ended up blurry but I had to add it still because it's so neat. I don't remember what you would call this. But its built right into the wall and would house china. It was so pretty.

I had to add this picture. This is the inside of a closet with a set of shelves made for shoes. Half a closet for your shoes! Looking at it makes you realize just how easy this would be to make. It's just plywood shelves with a strip of lumber to keep heels from falling out.

Okay, back to making cookies...I mean studying for finals. :)

The Pitfalls of Spring

Another green post, in my defense this green is a bit more muted. I have one more green post, but you won't see that until next week because I forgot to retrieve it from my husband's phone and he is opening  up the cottage for the summer! Whoop, whoop! While I have to stay behind and study for finals. Boo.

Oh, hey, there are my arms. The spring season can be so frustrating sometimes. Spring is often portrayed as green grass growing, flowers blooming, sun shining, which leads you to forget snow was ever around. Until it's slapping you in the face, making your mascara run and the feeling of betrayal burns so deep you curse the sky. This was yesterday. Yes, it snowed heavily, briefly and was gone by afternoon, but that cold north wind lingered, whipping up the betrayal again and again. Sigh. The pitfalls of spring.
